Glenn Johnson

Glenn Johnson has been the Director of Education and part of the board since 2016. He and his family have been hosting students in the program since 2010.

Professionally, Glenn has been a high school physics teacher in Ukiah, California, a design engineer for Flight Rail Corporation, a training engineer for the Space Shuttle Program & International Space Station (ISS). As a training engineer, Glenn helped train astronaut crews on habitability equipment and procedures which included the galley system, crew quarters and the space toilet (how to use and maintain the system).

He is currently working as the lead Design Engineer for the NASA HUNCH program. In this position, Glenn works with high school students to design and build equipment for the space program. This hardware is sometimes used in training the astronauts and engineers or flown to the ISS.
